I think that this is in poor taste. A gun shoe? Well at least James Bond would be proud (I think).

I think Karl Lagerfeld is a genius. He's not afraid to take risks (isn't that what fashion is about?). BUT.... I don't think I'd buy the shoes. I can't afford them, and I'd get some very strange looks. My husband works in the local prison, and he WOULD NOT approve.

I don't even think it's particularly clever - they had a gun shoe on Get Smart in the 60s, so this is just Karl's take on one. Not interesting, not a social statement worth making. Just an ugly, obnoxious, over-priced shoe that's probably uncomfortable.

He may like controversy but i think its lame, been done, nothing new and pretty stupid. I agree with stephley- not clever.

I think it's interesting but not realistic and problematic for the reasons others have mentioned.

I personally would never wear it because of its price/look.
